What are the Benefits of E-Mail Marketing?

When was the last time you went a day without checking your email? For most of us, it’s our main method of communication. Some would argue that with the sheer volume of emails we each receive every day that perhaps email marketing does not have the impact it once did. However, if you send something relevant, interesting and targeted then there can still be many benefits:-

It will keep you at the forefront of your patient’s minds. They might not have a need for you every time you send an email, but when they do it will help make sure that you’re the first service they think of.
It can be a very cost-effective way of communicating with patients and gaining new ones.
It is instantly trackable. This means that you can accurately analyse the effectiveness of a campaign.
Sending a regular email can increase your Practice’s reputation.
Because the majority of your patients will have actively signed up to your emails, they’re a much more receptive audience.

Design your email to fit your brand

If you are doing it yourself, make sure that the email looks like it comes from your Practice. Use you website or logo for inspiration and think about things like colour, font and images.

Alternatively, it can be worth getting a professional to design an email template. Then all you need to do is drop in the new content each time you want to use it.

Make sure you have something to say

Don’t just send an email for the sake of it, make sure that you have something to say (that your patients want to hear). Have you got any new products or services or special offers?

Social Media Tips

Post Regular Updates
It seems obvious, doesn’t it? But no one likes to see a page they have landed on hasn’t been updated in quite some time!  Your audience and patients / customers want regular updated and that’s what keeps them coming back for more.
Updates can consist of news, pictures, industry news, even jokes!
It’s important to develop a “voice” that remains consistent.  Have the same person posting on your social media platforms and ensure the same style appears consistently in your other marketing materials.
Comment On Others’ Posts & Updates
Again obvious! Everyone likes to be noticed.  Interact with your audience by replying to their comments / status updates.  Acknowledge good comments and always reply to negative remarks to show you’re on top of it.
Everyone likes to be “liked”.
